United Democratic Movement (UDM) leader General Bantu Holomisa says there is not much to celebrate this Human Rights Day.

Holomisa, who was on the campaign trail, says the current government has failed to provide basic services for the poor.

UDM marked Human Rights Day by continuing to campaign for the upcoming May Poll. Holomisa engaged local Tshwane residents, small business owners and taxi drivers. He encouraged all to vote and remove the ruling party (ANC) from power.

Holomisa says many people are discouraged and not keen to vote.

“It’s difficult, people are not interested in the elections, they are asking why they should go and vote when there is no change. So we are trying to convince them to vote because if they don’t vote the status quo remains.”
