The Johannesburg Metro police department says it has not granted permission to Black Land First (BLF) and other organisations under the banner of Hands Off Zuma campaign to march to Luthuli House Monday.
The organisations are expected to embark on a march in the Johannesburg CBD Moday to show support for President Jacob Zuma.
Hundreds of African National Congress (ANC) supporters are also expected to form a human chain outside Luthuli House in defence of their headquarters.
They say the “hands Off Zuma” march should be directed to the Union Buildings as Zuma is no longer ANC President, said JMPD spokesperson Edna Mamonyane.
“As a department we have no knowledge of the march and we have not received anything but as we have heard on social media that there are supporters that are going to go to Luthuli House to protect the president of the country.”
