Reading Time: 2 minutes

The investigation into the Ngcobo Police Station attack continues to unearth other crimes allegedly committed by the suspects.

The four suspects who are in custody are now also connected to the murder of two people who ran a church in Mzimkhulu in January.

Ndumiso and Nomaindia Jali were murdered in January. They were former leaders of the Crusaders Church.

It’s alleged the attackers also made off with a large sum of money.

The men appeared in court on Monday. Their case has been postponed to the 13th of March.

Hawk’s Spokesperson Anelisa Feni says, “During the investigation of the task team they managed to crack another case which happened in KwaZulu-Natal, where a couple was murdered there. There are four suspects who have also been arrested for this case here in the Ngcobo police killings.”

One of the church leaders who appeared in the Ngcobo Magistrate’s Court on Monday is also facing charges related to alleged crimes that took place at the church.

He will be back in court on Tuesday.

“During this whole investigation, the forensic division of the SAPS conducted their own investigation. They have arrested a 30-year-old male and he will face charges of sexual exploitation, sexual grooming and rape.”

Six of the Ncgobo suspects will be back in court on Thursday.
