The newly-elected Free State ANC leadership has vowed to urgently deal with the application of disgruntled members who are challenging its legitimacy.

Party members led by former deputy chairperson Thabo Manyoni approached the High Court in Bloemfontein on Monday, requesting it to nullify the provincial elective conference.

They also want the delegates to be prevented from attending the ANC national elective conference in Nasrec in Johannesburg.

The conference re-elected Ace Magashule as provincial chairperson while Paseka Nompondo is the new deputy chairperson.

The rest of the top five leadership remains unchanged.
