Nehawu marches for new North West leadership

Hundreds of Nehawu affiliated health-workers across the country have arrived at the North West capital, Mahikeng to march and hand over a memorandum of demands to the Inter-Ministerial task team that is in the province.

They have converged at a local stadium where they’re continuing to call for the resignation of Premier Supra Mahumapelo and demand a new provincial leadership.

In their famous regalia scores of Nehawu affiliated health workers are arriving in numbers at the converging point in Monthia stadium.

They will be marching to the legislature, where Minister in the Presidency, who is leading the Inter-Ministerial team in the province, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will receive their memorandum.

The workers say amongst their demands they want improved packages and a corruption free health department.

A high contingent of police has been deployed to keep a watchful eye.
