The Ebuhleni group of the Nazareth Baptist Church will conduct a cleansing ceremony for the souls of all those from KwaZulu-Natal who went missing during the liberation struggle.

Ebuhleni leader Mduduzi Shembe will conduct the ceremony on Sunday at a temple that was constructed for the purpose in KwaMashu north of Durban.

Provincial chairperson of the Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans’ Association (MKMVA), Themba Mavundla, says the leader of the group has met with the provincial leaders of the military veterans and African National Congress (ANC) after he had a vision.

“The deceased combatants were complaining about their neglect by the ANC and were vowing that they will intentionally destabilise it from within. The deceased ANC cadres asked Inkosi Unyazi Lwezulu to cleanse them and return them to their homes,” says Mavundla.
