The N14 between Kuruman and Vryburg has been temporarily closed due to a sinkhole that has occurred outside the Kuruman Hospital.
Traffic has been diverted.
The Gasegonyane Municipality has enlisted the services of geologists who will determine the cause and possible solution to the problem.
Municipal spokesperson, David Mabudi says, “We as the municipality engaged with the council of geosciences to better understanding the geological conditions underlying the affected section of the road. Remember that thing grows almost daily. Yesterday and today, if you check the sizes are not the same to the size of yesterday (Tuesday). Probably they have already sent out an inspector to access and do a thorough investigation to come up with the root cause and accessing.”
