N Cape ANC to take part in LGTBI Pride celebration

The ANC in the Northern Cape is appealing to communities to peacefully co-exist with members of the Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, and Bisexual and Intersexual (LGTBI) community.

The party has partnered with the LGTBI community for this year’s annual Pride celebrations held in Kimberley.

The ANC’s Tshepo Louw says the party will do its best to educate communities about the plight of LGTBI communities.

“We’re a non-sexist organisation that accommodates everybody. We’re a broad church and what we have done as a matter of importance is that we’ve encountered the killings of the people who have different sexual orientation. So, we are trying to educate and incorporate our people to understand that these people belong to the society,” says Louw.

Louw says they’re calling the communities to accept the LGTBI community. “We’re calling for them to go vote and register because they belong to their human beings before they are gays.”
