The Eskom Parliamentary Inquiry into alleged state capture has officially decided to subpoena former SAA Board Chairperson Dudu Myeni, Duduzane Zuma and the three Gupta brothers – Atul, Ajay and Rajesh, to testify before the committee.
The Gupta brothers’ lawyers say their clients are out of the country.
Myeni said she is sick and Duduzane’s lawyers said he is not available.
The committee unanimously took the decision to slap them with summonses.
Closing the meeting on Tuesday, Committee Chairperson Zukiswa Rantho said details on when to subpoena them will be communicated.
“We will sit down as the management and see which possible date could be the correct possible date for us to summon theses witnesses. As for the media briefing, we always issue a statement after every inquiry meeting,” says Rantho.
