Zimbabwe’s former President Robert Mugabe failed for the second time to appear before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy to give evidence on the missing $15 billion worth of diamonds revenue during his tenure in office.
Several former ministers under Mugabe as well as current seating ministers, other high-ranking government and security officials have already appeared before the committee to give their evidence.
On Monday committee has resolved to write final summons to Mugabe asking the former president to appear before it without fail on June 11 or he will face the consequences of disrespecting parliament.
