Reading Time: < 1 minute

Children in Emalahleni, in Mpumalanga, are calling for an end to child abuse.  They say they live in fear after the recent killings of children living with albinism.

Scores of Sunday School children from different churches joined by church leaders marched in the area to create awareness about child abuse and the killings.

Under the theme “Foundation Cruciform,” some of the learners say they call on the leaders to intervene as they have the power to protect communities.

The group appealed to the  community and society at large to do more to protect children.

They have also called on leaders to establish stronger measures to fight the scourge of alcohol and drug abuse among young people.
