The burial of Jabulani ‘HHP’ Tsambo has taken place at the Mmabatho cemetery in Mahikeng in the North West.
The artist was buried at the Heroes’ Acre section of the cemetery following a funeral service at the Mmabatho Convention Centre.
Family, friends, government representatives and celebrities turned out in their numbers to bid farewell to the artist. HHP died at his home in Randpark Ridge in Johannesburg on Wednesday last week at the age of 38.
A dignified send off. Amongst those at the cemetery, was HHP’s wife Lerato Sengadi. Sengadi arrived, shortly after the start of the funeral service at Mmabatho Convention Centre Saturday morning.
She was accompanied by Jabulani Tsambo’s friends Mo-Molemi and DJ Lemonka, amongst others.
On Friday, the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg confirmed Sengadi as the artist’s customary wife. However, the court turned down her urgent application to interdict the funeral.
