Motorists urged to fill up as fuel prices rise

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Motorists are urged to fill up tonight (Tuesday) as the price of fuel is set to increase significantly.

Petrol will go up by as much as 72 cents per litre for 95 octanes, 69 cents a litre for 93 octane and diesel will go up by 65 cents.

Illuminating paraffin will drop by six cents per litre and LP gas will increase by 29 cents per kilogramme.

The main reason for this adjustment is the inclusion of the fuel levy and the Road Accident Fund which is 62 cents per litre.

Adjustments to the transport tariffs have also been considered in the adjustment.

These are the pipelines and transportation costs as well as the road transportation costs.
