Mosimane takes CAF competitions seriously

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he will never be in charge of a team that has got no ambition of winning silverware and compete in the CAF competitions.

He was referring to teams that do not take CAF competitions seriously. Sundowns have been the shining light for SA teams on the continent in recent times.

Sundowns and Orlando Pirates will be campaigning in the Champions League this season, while Bidvest Wits and TS Galaxy will represent the country in the Confederations Cup.

Mosimane says teams doing well on the continent help the national team.

Sundowns will be chasing a record 10th league title and the third in a row. The Brazilians will also be hoping to win their second champions league title.

Mosimane says they will attempt to reach the milestones to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Former Bafana Bafana striker Tokelo Rantie is currently training with the Brazilians with a hope of securing a contract. Mosimane says he is not ready yet but they are going to be patient with him.

Sundowns signed three players this season in Sammy Seabi, Mauricio Affonso and Nyiko Mobbie.

Mobbie will be sent on loan and Mosimane says Seabi is closer to first team action than the Uruguayan.
