Meanwhile Daily Maverick editor Branko Brkic together with the #GuptaLeaks investigative journalism team (see list below) have scooped the Prestige Nat Nakasa Award for Media Integrity at the South African National Editor’s Forum annual gala dinner in Johannesburg on Saturday night.
The award is presented to a South African journalist whose reporting celebrates freedom of speech and media integrity.
It also celebrates journalists who have shown exceptional integrity and courage in their work.
