The MK Veterans Council has called on all former members of the constituency of Umkhonto we Sizwe to unite, as the ANC 54th elective conference starts in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Speaking on behalf of the council, Keith Mokoape says the disunity currently prevailing among former military veterans saw important members of the ANC being unable to participate in the elective conference.
“If you don’t get that right, you won’t be able to lead the rest of military veterans from the rest of other formations. That is why the worst performing department today is that of military veterans, it’s precisely because MK is not united. So the biggest achievement we have seen this past week is that the president of the republic acknowledged that this council, MK national council has got the right to have twenty delegates to the conference”
