With 59.44% of the voting districts declared in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, the African National Congress is leading followed by the Democratic Alliance and the Economic Freedom Fighters in third place.
The City of Johannesburg has a population of 4 949 346 people. In the 2016 Municipal elections, 2 246 350 people were registered to vote and only 57.1% of the registered voters cast their vote.
