The memorial service of the SABC’s Motsweding FM DJ, Thapelo Lehulere, popularly known as Lara Kruger, is currently taking place at the SABC North West regional offices.
Lara died last Wednesday at the Moses Kotane Hospital in Ledig near Sun City at the age of 30 after a short illness.
She joined Motsweding FM in 2016.
Many in the broadcasting and entertainment industry are still in shock following the news of her death.
Messages of condolences continue to pour in through various social media platforms.
Motsweding FM colleagues, family members as well as members of the LGBTI are expected to be part of the memorial service. Kruger lived her life as a transgender woman.
The second memorial service will be held in Mogwase near Sun City outside Rustenburg tomorrow.
She will be laid to rest at her home on Saturday.
