Prophet Paseka Mboro Motsoeneng is expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court east of Johannesburg on Thursday on a charge of common assault.
Mboro allegedly assaulted a female paramedic who was attending to a sickly child at Mboro’s Incredible Happenings church in Katlehong on the East rand on Sunday. The three-year old child Nontombi Gwame died at the church.
A female Ekurhuleni Emergency Service personnel claims she was assaulted by Mboro after members of the church accused paramedics of having taken too long to respond to the emergency call.
Ekurhuleni North Police spokesperson Leseja Mathobela says Mboro was arrested on Wednesday, but was released pending his court appearance.
