Transport Minister Joe Maswanganyi is launching the festive season road safety campaign in Bela-Bela in Limpopo.
Maswanganyi will start his activities by interacting with commuters and taxi operators at a local taxi rank.
He will then procede to the N1 to interact with traffic officers and motorists.
The N1 between Pretoria and the Beitbride border post is one of the major routes which carry heavy traffic during the festive season.
A number of road deaths have already been reported in the area.
