Masualle sends condolences to families of five police officers, retired soldier

Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle has conveyed his condolences to the families of five police officers and a retired soldier who were shot dead by unknown men at Ngcobo Police Station on Wednesday. Masualle has condemned the killings and called for calm.

He has urged community members to co-operate with police in apprehending the perpetrators. He says relevant government departments will work together to assist the families.

“As the province we are going to be participating in the efforts towards ensuring that those who lost their lives. They get to be buried in decency and that all the efforts in ensuring that the community is taken through this trauma. At this moment we call  for calm, we invite women and men in blue to take courage and be more formidable in their resolve in all our police stations such that we are not shaken but we can look up to dealing with this element.”
