A 31-year-old man has died after being shot at a taxi rank in Roodepoort on Gauteng’s West Rand late on Thursday night.
Netcare911 spokesperson Tebogo Magoro says a woman, believed to be 23-years old, was also wounded in the incident.
“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that the male victim had multiple gunshot wounds and sadly he died on scene. The female sustained a gunshot wound to the hip. She was treated before being transported to hospital for further medical care. The exact details surrounding the incident were not yet known, but local authorities were on scene to investigate.”
