A 22-year-old man has allegedly killed his mother, his four-year-old sister and injured his two other siblings by stabbing them in Sebokeng in the Vaal in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, says the suspect has been arrested. He says two cases of murder and two of attempted murder have been opened.
“Police can confirm that a 22-year-old man stabbed his mother who is aged 43 and three siblings aged 4, 9 and 16. The mother and the daughter who is four-years-old, died on the scene. While the other girl who is aged 9 and the boy aged 16 were taken to hospital in serious condition. The suspect also stabbed himself. He is in hospital under police guard.”
