A 43-year-old man who allegedly raped his 10-year-old stepdaughter between 2013 to 2018 is on Thursday due back in the Verulam Family Court, north of Durban.
The man cannot be identified – in order to protect the child.
The court is expected to hand down judgment in his bail application.
The accused faces a number of charges, including rape, sexual grooming of a child, sexual assault and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
He was arrested last month and has denied all the charges against him.
