A 25 year old man accused of killing his four month-old baby is expected to apply for bail Wednesday at the Lehurutshe regional court in North West.
Rorisang Mogotsi from Dinokana village near Zeerust in the North West was remanded in custody after his arrest.
It is alleged that Mogotsi killed the toddler after an argument ensued between him and the baby’s mother.
Police say they were summoned to Willow-Park farm near Lehurutshe, by the Emergency Medical and Rescue Services after an alleged incident took place.
Upon arrival of the police they found a bruised body of the baby.
The mother told police that she and her boyfriend had a fight at the boyfriend’s place in the evening over the weekend at Dinokana village.
She managed to run away and left the baby behind to seek help from the neighbours.
On her return the same evening, Mogotsi instructed the mother to take the baby back to her place at Willow- Park farm.
