Several roads have been closed around the Orlando Stadium in Soweto ahead of struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s memorial service.
Motorists are advised to park their cars at the Nasrec Expo Centre where there would be shuttles to the stadium.
The road closures will take place until 18:00.
Johannesburg Metro Police Spokesperson Edna Mamonyane explains the various road closures.
The roads that have been affected are Mooki and Klipvalley. Mooki has been closed from the Soweto Highway. Kilpvalley has been closed up to the N17 circle. No vehicles will be allowed to use those roads. The people that are coming from far away are advised to park their vehicles Nasrec Expo Centre where buses will ferry them to the stadium.”
