Cosatu in the Western Cape has elected Malvern de Bruyn as its new provincial secretary to replace outspoken former provincial secretary, Tony Ehrenreich.
The trade union federation is concluding its provincial congress on Sunday.
Delegates have been meeting since Saturday to discuss various issues of governance and socio-economic challenges. They also elected a new provincial leadership.
Ehrenreich has served in various positions in the union federation since 1989.
