Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema is urging parents to send children to institutions of higher learning because there will be free education at Universities next year.

Malema delivered a  keynote address at the EEF Christmas party for the elderly in Seshego, Limpopo.

He says government must implement free education after  President Jacob Zuma made an announcement about free education.

Malema says no student will start with the 2018 academic year if poor students are not catered for.

“There is no turning back on the announcement made by Zuma. All poor students must go to universities to demand free education. Students must tell them that president Zuma said there will be free education for all. We will also be at the entrances of universities to ensure that there is free education and your children must go there and get educated,” says Malema.

Malema also outlined some of the party’s plans which include buying tractors, pesticides and other resources for the elderly to use  for farming. He also promised to buy beds for elderly people before they die.
