African National Congress (ANC) Secretary-General Ace Magashule has without mentioning names, accused some people of continuing to peddle lies about the ruling party and its leadership.
He was speaking in Pretoria on the sidelines of the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the death of Umkhontho we Sizwe operative Solomon Mahlangu.
Magashule says those attacking the ANC leadership, including himself, are doing that to weaken the party ahead of national general elections.
“This is the time for members of the ANC and society to see real things and the reality of what people are trying to do because in any revolution, after any revolution there are counter-revolutionaries who may want to reverse the gains of our freedom. I’m sure as the ANC we must still maintain our character as a liberation movement and move on and fight for the betterment of everybody.” Click below for more on Ace Magashule:
