Limpopo police launch manhunt after business robbery in Phalaborwa

Police in Phalaborwa, Limpopo are searching for a group of armed suspects who allegedly robbed a filling station in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police say about nine suspects allegedly robbed the filling station and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe is urging anyone with information to assist in tracing the suspects.

Ngoepe  says a manhunt is underway by a dedicated team of police from police units in Phalaborwa for the group of armed suspects who were part of the business robbery which occurred at a petrol garage at the Phalaborwa CBD.

“During the process of this business robbery they also hijacked another car belonging to a client, but later that hijacked car was found abandoned we are therefore calling upon all members of the community who might be aware or know who the suspects are to contact brigadier James Espag at 082 576 0743,” says Ngoepe .
