The country’s most decorated swimmer, Chad le Clos, won two silver medals on the third and final day of the FINA World Cup in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Le Clos finished second in the men’s 50 metre butterfly and 200 metre freestyle finals to add the silver medals to the gold he won in the 100 metres butterfly on Saturday.

After finishing second in the 50 metres butterfly final earlier, Le Clos looked more determined to clinch victory in the 200 metres freestyle final.

He was in the lead after the first turn and led for much of the race.

But the South African was overtaken by American Blake Pieroni on the final turn.

Pieroni finished first in one minute 43-point-8-3 seconds with Le Clos in second place with a time of one minute 42-point-2-0 seconds.
