Trucks from Jhb deliver water to Cape Town

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Four trucks, transporting 70 000 litres of water from Johannesburg to Cape Town, have arrived in the Mother City.

The water will be distributed to various charities and organisations.

One of the organisers, Suretha Gerber, says they decided to load the trucks with water and bring it down down to Cape Town when they were invited to come and showcase their trucks at the Motorshow which is taking place this weekend at Grand West.

She says they will also be helping with the distribution of water to places that need it the most.

The elderly and animal organisations will  be prioritised.

Day Zero has now been moved to the 9th of July.  But Level 6b water restrictions are still in place allowing water users 50 litres per person a day.

So the motor lovers will all be forgiven for all their excitement and noise this weekend. They have indeed paid their dues.
