“11 February 1990, a day many will never forget,” this is according to Former National Prosecution Authority boss, Bulelani Ngcuka. A member of the Mandela reception committee, Ngcuka highlights that this is a day of celebration for the oppressed majority of South Africa.

The reception committee was set up to prepare for the coming home of Nelson Mandela, but nothing could have prepared them for the multitudes who went to welcome their hero at Cape Town’s Grand Parade.
