KZN braces for more bad weather

Residents of KwaZulu-Natal have been urged to heed storm warnings as more bad weather is expected over the next few days.

The Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs spokesperson Lennox Mabaso says summer in KwaZulu-Natal is usually marked by storms and communities must be quick to respond to advisories in order to prevent fatalities.

The MEC for Cogta Nomusa Dube-Ncube warns all citizens to be on the look out because of unpredictable weather patterns.

She says “We are urging everyone, including all visits coming to KwaZulu-Natal to constantly follow weather warnings and actually act accordingly when they are asked to do so.”

“In the summer season we are prone to unpredictable weather which may cause major disruptions.”

She continues: “If you hear that dangerous weather conditions is imminent, heed the instructions.”
