A 45-year old man accused of rape and sexual assault is expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court in the West of Johannesburg, Gauteng.
The man was arrested after an 11 year old girl told her mother that the man had been abusing her for years, the mother reported the man to the police.
The police took the child for medical examination and follow up investigation led to the arrest of the suspect.
During the arrest, a search of the premises was conducted and several items were seized including laptops, hard drives and 250 Dvds of child pornography.
