Student activist Mcebo Dlamini is on his long walk to the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
Dlamini is walking to highlight the plight of the Fees Must Fall initiative as well to call for the release of the students arrested during the protests.
Dlamini says he intends to submit a letter of demand to the Presidency.
People from all over the country are following his journey on Twitter following the hashtag #MceboDlamini.
Motorists are stopping to take pictures when they spot him and he is being called a “hero ” and “real leader.”
Others are urging him to walk a little faster.
