The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has vowed to use its presence in the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) to push for reforms on the continent.

This includes an end to an undemocratic style of governance as well as the restoration of human dignity.

EFF leader Julius Malema was sworn in as a Member of Parliament at the sixth session of the PAP in Midrand on Monday.

The party staged a picket outside the Morocco embassy in Pretoria earlier Thursday as part of its bid to exert pressure the capital Rabat to end its occupation of Western Sahara.

EFF Secretary-General Godrich Gardee says, “Here next to us, we have a beast and a monster who believe that there must not be a neighbour. They do not believe in anything peaceful with their neighbours. They are killing people of Western Sahara just like Israel is killing people of Palestine. We must treat the Moroccan government as nothing but an apartheid state – a bunch of colonialists.”
