Former Constitutional Court Judge and struggle veteran, Justice Zak Yacoob, has challenged Julius Malema to a public debate about the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader’s recent anti-Indian comments.
Malema has said at two recent events that “the majority of Indians are racists”.
The first was during his Youth Day address in the North West and then later outside the Newcastle Magistrates’ Court in KwaZulu-Natal.
Judge Yacoob says, “He can have his own people there and I will face all his people and have an absolutely open debate with him on the issue and let me say to Julius, let us have this debate in public, in the presence of thousands of people. I was talking to an audience that was 95% Indian and I was always adopting the attitude that says we must look at ourselves first. People in glass houses must not throw stones at others.”
