The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) invites learners and students, who are interested in investment and stock markets, to register for their 2018 JSE Investment Challenge.

The Investment Challenge has both school and university categories, the competition runs from March to September.

This year marks the 45th annual challenge and is deemed as South Africa’s largest financial literacy initiative aim at introducing the youth to investing and the financial markets.

Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Officer at the JSE, Ralph Speirs says, “We believe the challenge is really helping those who don’t understand how to start saving and investing on a stock market. We have gone to the schools and universities to try and get as much youth in the country involved in a stock market, understand what the share is and how to make money on it.”
