Johannesburg’s Emergency Services has appealed to parents to be vigilant of their children’s whereabouts amid bad weather conditions and flooding.
A number of areas are reported to have received flash floods and more rain is forecast for Gauteng this weekend.
The South African Weather Service has issued flood warnings to Gauteng, Free State, North West, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi says motorists must refrain from crossing flooded roads and bridges.
