The Rand Show celebrates 125 years since its inception and remains an iconic event on the Johannesburg calendar.
The expo started as a livestock show at Witwatersrand with 3 000 visitors and it now has grown to entertain even the millennials.
Rand Show CEO Craig Newman says the show at Nasrec continues to attract thousands from across the country.
“We spend a lot of time focusing on what is trending not only in SA but what’s trending worldwide and we try and look how can we implement that to bring it in to our family fun day. So you know gaming, everybody loves gaming is not just for kids but for all members of the family. Everybody loves outdoor and adventure, everybody loves gardening, fitness it’s all in there and healthy eating and fun is all in. So we just try to bring in what is trending all the time and make sure we have something for every member of the family at the Rand Show,” says Newman.
This year it brought a little history and more entertainment to the lineup as the Rand Easter show remains a firm favourite on the Joburg calendar.
