JMPD cautions motorists

As many holiday-makers are expected to return to Johannesburg Tuesday, the city’s metro police department has urged motorists to be extra cautious on the roads.

Traffic heading to Gauteng is expected to increase as residents make their way home after their Christmas vacations.

JMPD spokesperson Edna Mamonyane says, “When you travel know that you are sharing the road with other people. Please don’t speed because people don’t realise that speed does kill. And to everybody be responsible, road safety starts with you so let’s all work together so that we can arrive alive.”
