Reading Time: < 1 minute

Investigators in Austin combed through evidence along a blocked-off street on Monday (March 19) after two men were injured when a device exploded on Sunday evening.

Authorities say the device have been activated by a trip wire across a sidewalk, and police fear a serial bomber may be behind deadly Texas parcel bombs earlier this month.

Powerful explosive devices have killed two people and injured four others this month in Austin, raising fears in the state capital of another attack.

The first three devices were parcel bombs dropped off at night in front of homes on the city’s east side, with the fourth a trip wire device that went off in a west side neighborhood on Sunday. All four devices were similar, police said on Monday.
