More tributes to the artist
Fans and colleagues in the music industry have taken to social media with tributes to the artist. Music producer – Sketchy Bongo – says the music industry has lost a pioneer of hip-hop.
“It’s a huge shock to the industry. He was one of the most prolific MCs in hip-hop in South Africa. He was one of the pioneers. He started doing this stuff before hip-hop was everywhere and popular in South Africa. He just opened a lot of doors for people and it’s sad that he didn’t really get the recognition now for the amount influence he actually made on the industry.”
