The parties in the urgent application to stop the burial of Motswako rapper Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known as HHP planned for Saturday have failed to reach an out of court settlement.
Both parties confirmed that they attempted to find each other to no avail before the hearing got under way on Friday afternoon.
The rapper’s disputed wife, Lerato Sengadi, filed an urgent application in the High Court in Johannesburg seeking to stop the funeral from going ahead, because she’s been excluded from the planning and other related activities as the family does not recognize her as Jabba’s wife.
Sengadi contends that she entered into a customary marriage with Tsambo in February 2016. She says it’s very strange that his family would now say they don’t recognize her as his wife.
Through her lawyer, Sengadi says she has video evidence of her marriage or wedding ceremony with Tsambo, in which the father even congratulated her by embracing her.
