Hawks raid Jacques Pauw’s home

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Veteran investigative journalist, Jacques Pauw, says his home in Riebeeck Kasteel in the Swartland, Western Cape, is being raided by the Hawks.

His book “The Presidents Keepers” alleges that former President Jacob Zuma, for the first four years of his Presidency, had not filed his tax returns and that he had also received a R1 million monthly salary for several months in 2009 without declaring this to tax authorities.

A number of other allegations about a so-called ‘gangster state’ are made in the book.

Pauw is a highly respected investigative journalist. He says he’s cooperating fully with the authorities.

“Three senior officers of the Hawks’ crimes against the state unit arrived at my guest house and restaurant with a search and seizure warrant. They say they are looking for any classified documents or information pertaining to the state security agency.”
