Government officials arrive in Cape Town for Zuma’s farewell dinner

Ministers and Deputy Ministers have arrived for a dinner party hosted by President Cyril Ramaphosa for former President Jacob Zuma in Cape Town. Transport Deputy Minister Sindi Chikunga says the dinner to bid farewell to former President Zuma is good for both leaders.

Speaking was speaking at the entrance of Tynhuis in Cape Town where she arrived for the private dinner party. The party is hosted by Ramaphosa but is not open to the media.

“It is very good. It is good for the former President Zuma. It is good for President Cyril Ramaphosa. We are not fighting the president at all and we are not his enemies and I don’t think there are South Africans who see President Zuma as his enemy. I think it is good for him that we recognise him.”
