Reading Time: 3 minutes

Patricia de Lille has promised to do more Good for the Western Cape as she launched her “Aunty Pat for Premier Campaign” in Wesbank near Delft outside Cape Town. GOOD Party supporters came out in their numbers for the launch of the campaign.

De Lille says she is responding to calls to act by putting her name forward for the position of Western Cape Premier. She has called on GOOD supporters and other members of the public to give her party a chance. She’s also listed several achievements from her time as mayor of Cape Town, adding that more can be done to improve the lives of ordinary South Africans.

“GOOD will put people before politics, GOOD will be on the ground we will just not be sitting in Parliament, GOOD will build a better country, GOOD will build a better province. We will look after our families and we want to educate our children and GOOD will be a movement of action. No More blah blah blah just talk, we will be walking the talk.”

De Lille says if people want change in their lives, they must use their vote to add value.

“It’s your duty to hold the politicians to account. You must say to yourself and I am asking you to use your vote that great value of your vote to bring about change in our province. The only way that you can get the governing party out of this province is that they have been voted in so they must be voted out.”

GOOD supporters also added their voice to De Lille’s campaign. Some says she is the right person to tackle crime, violence and a lack of service delivery.

“We come out in such a lot of people because we know that Patricia can make the difference. We know that she can; she is a strong woman and GOOD is just moving forward. We are the first party in the world that is actually focusing on changing the mindset, you know that is why we are calling ourselves GOOD. We are building good people for a Good South Africa. I am here to support her and she must know that I am just here to support her.”

From next Saturday, De Lille will campaign in the North West, Gauteng and the Northern Cape to encourage voters to join the GOOD movement.
