A political analyst from the Stellenbosch University, Erwin Schwella, says it is to be expected that the newly formed, Good Party, would do well in the Western Cape.

With nearly 40% of voter districts declared, Good stands at 3.5% – third in line after the governing DA and ANC. The DA stands at nearly 60%, followed by the ANC at 26%.

Schwella says Patricia de Lille’s party’s biggest growth would be in the Western Cape.

“Ms. Patricia de Lille has a following in the Cape and for some of the term when there was no conflict with DA, she did good work as a mayor of Cape Town.”
