Freedom Front Plus believes new support came from former DA voters

Freedom Front PLus leader Pieter Groenewald believes the majority of new support for the party in the 2019 national and provincial elections came from voters disgruntled with the Democratic Alliance.

The FF+ was able to more than double its representation in the National Assembly, increasing its seats from the 4 won in 2014 to a projected 10, representing 2.37% of the vote.

Groenewald told SABC News at the IEC Results Centre in Pretoria his party’s support grew because many former DA voters no longer believed the DA’s message.
